The EPCC project of ORYX oilfield surface facilities in the BCOIII block of Chad mining area has officially started

Chad's ORYX oilfield development project, undertaken by HBP group, holds a site commencement ceremony on Nov. 28, 2018.
The project's EPCIC contract was signed on August 17, 2018. The project is expected to be put into production by the end of 2019 and completed and accepted on January 15, 2020. HBP won the project EPCIC contract through bidding, with a total contract amount of $148.558 million.





Chad's ORYX field development project is HBP's second contract in Africa after the Ethiopian gas field development project. As an international EPCIC contractor specialized oil and gas field development surface engineering, HBP set the project progress, safety ,environmental protection and quality as the main target, fully analyze the project critical path, giving full play to the advantages of talents, technology, management, capital, etc, and the project starts construction on site smoothly within 100 days after the signing of the contract. HBP will complete the general contracting task of the project in a safe, efficient and high-quality manner, and put it into production by the end of 2019.




Chad ORYX oilfield project is the first oilfield development project of the owner (OPIC), the project construction scope covers Mouroumar, Benoy, Mbaikoro and Benoy - west four blocks, including two mixed pumping stations, 1 joint station, 17 oil Wells, 7 injection Wells, single well pipeline, gathering and transporting pipeline, water injection lines, 33 kv external power line, etc., with crude oil production capacity of 500,000 tons/year, the treated crude oil will be transported through the pipeline, produced water after will be injected to the ground after treatment, and associated gas will be used to generate electricity for private use.
